Courant And Tribune Seek To Have Watchdog’s Wrongful Termination Suit Dismissed

Attorneys for The Courant and its parent Tribune company today filed a motion in Superior Court asking that my wrongful termination suit be dismissed.

The motion claims that my suit, if successful, would violate The Courant’s First Amendment Rights to control the contents of its newspaper. All the documents filed are available on the left side, as well as my lawsuit.

I was fired effective Aug. 14 after I refused to “be nice” to Courant major advertisers in my role as the newspaper’s investigative consumer columnist.

  1. Aren’t they going against their mission statement with the 1st Amendment?

  2. Humm, the NEWSPAPER’s First Amendment right? Does the Constitution enumerate rights of “We the People” or of corporations? ? ?

So does the paper ALSO have a second amendment right to carry a gun ? ? ?

Watch out George 🙂 Hate to see you get fired AT too !

Do they Vote? Or just contribute to campaigns…?
