Its time to give credit where credit is due: Connecticut appears to have finally fixed its Internet site that allows people to file continuing claims on line.
By going to the site you can now quickly fill out the information.
During the past few weeks I have been able to get on the site and file my data all in less than a minute.
Prior to that, I and many people had to try for days before we could log in and file our date. Thank you folks at the state Labor Department for solving this problem.

I think the good nes was short lived. For the first time this year this year I get the message: “You have not been authorized to file a continued claim via the internet.”
Tried filing today as I normally do and received the same message for the first time…”You have not been authorized to file a continued claim via the internet”. I tried calling the benefits line to file and was told the same thing that I wasn’t authorized. I know it’s not only me today, so figure it’s another glitch. What else is new!!!
Guys – i just did mine and had no problem. Did you refile to get your extended benefits? that could be the problem.
George
Hey George, yes, after two hours of trying to get through this morning on the phone, I had to re-file. I wish they would tell you that online or on the phone instead of saying unauthorized. All set now. Well, until next week.
