CtTalking.Com Launches With Dan Lovallo

Just a couple of days later than we thought,  www.CtTalking.com, launched today as a forum where serious conversations can take place among Connecticut residents, about crucial issues we face. The new website is jointly owned by Connecticut radio personality Dan Lovallo and myself.

Dan Lovallo

“I have been pained by how vitriolic and crude, comments from all parties have overtaken the media, especially as the problems we face become more complex,” Lovallo, a conservative talk show host said.

“Rather than educate citizens, many in the media simply drag the conversation into the gutter to enhance ratings and sell more expensive ads. The media can serve as a positive vehicle for change, by looking at serious issues, such as, should the government be mandating minimum health insurance coverage or what can we do to improve health for all Americans, while spending less,” he said.

CtTalking will be THE STOP for Connecticut to engage in civil discourse on issues, including those forbidden topics at the dinner table.  Current events, politics, religion, education, business, media, sports, Connecticut artists, writers and more will all be part of the discussion.  Our goal is to separate the wheat from the chaff.  Those who log on, will be a major component, sharing their views on the issues.
Our intent is to inform, enlighten, and be informed and enlightened.   Racist, sexist,  homophobic and crude comments will be banned.
The website, currently under development by Gary Choronzy, www.Connecticutwebsites.com, will be fully up-and-running shortly.

A key component, eventually, will be live Internet telecasts, including audience participation, much as I interacted with callers on my radio show.
The great industry magazine, Talkers.com, reminds us we are at the doorstep of the new media.  People no longer rely on just the old forms of communication, no matter how effective they may still be.

Their appetite for more information demands supplemental means.  The Internet, smartphones, applications, social media, tablets, etc., is the new platform by which the 21st century is augmenting this public discourse, and our goal at CtTalking.com is to be on the cutting edge of this exciting communications revolution.  As we get closer to the full launch of CtTalking.com, we will keep you informed.
