The Journal Inquirer is suing The Courant for plagiarism and is asking for financial damages.
West Hartford attorney Richard P. Weinstein filed the suit in Hartford Superior Court – according to a report in the JI, which says the suit ”alleges violation by the Courant of federal copyright law and Connecticut’s Unfair Trade Practices Act. The suit documents 11 incidents of plagiarism by the Courant in July, August, and September and says there may have been more.”
“The Courant’s theft of the JI’s stories was, the suit says, ‘immoral, oppressive, unethical, and unscrupulous.’”
The JI in its article said it was not able to obtain a response from The Courant.
Of course most of our readers know that I am also suing The Courant.
