State officials have rejected he Connecticut Towing & Recovery Professionals (CTRP) request for a 42 percent increase in its base towing rate for 300 contractors.
The Connecticut Motor Vehicle Department said the organization had not proven a need for the increase, which was opposed to by the insurance industry and legal aid attorney Rafie Podolsky.
