Why I Bought An Apple MacBookPro

Apple products, especially computers are a lot more expensive than PCs. They also don’t play nice with programs made for PCs.

But after using an HP desktop for most of my work and getting tired of it crashing frequently I decided to purchase an Apple  MacBookPro, 15 inches, refurbished.

It was one of the best decisions I made. While in the last month the laptop did freeze up on a couple of occasions, its nothing compared to what happens with PCs. I also own some Apple stock and use the iPhone 4 and an iPad.

The Apple programs are intiuitive and ellegant. The best part though is the service and education Apple stores provide.

As the purchaser of a new computer I was able also buy one year of one-on-one training on the laptop.

For $99 I have the opportunity to work one-on-one with an Apple expert who teaches me everything I want to know about the Apple and Mac programs. Its an education that is worth many times the cost of the laptop.

Apple also has free project classes for Apple customers where you can work for two hours with one of their experts on whatever you want to accomplish.

Obviously you need to make appointments for each and the more people who use he services the less opportunity you have. But I have had no problem in having weekly one-on-one classes with super Apple employees.

Highly recommend it if you want to use Photoshop or video editing.

How was your computers cosmetic looks. Was it scratched up or dented in any way since it was refurbished?

I bought an Apple computer because it makes me feel superior to Pc Users. Even though it does not work most of the time I like being a part of elitist group that thinks they are better than everyone.

Don’t you want to be raped by Steve Jobs and his propaganda whores too!

      Very cute Mark.

I have one PC software program I need to use. I purchased VMWare’s program and added Windows 7 to my iMac. Now I have the best of both worlds. Wow!

Great suggestion. How long does it take to switch from one to the other?

George, now that you’ve got yourself a Mac, here are a couple things you’re going to want to get, if you haven’t already gotten them.

Perian … not a program or app you use in its own right, but a collection of codecs that allow your Mac to view various multimedia formats that Macs don’t natively handle (or handle well).

Quicksilver … an amazing little tool. It’s both a program/app launcher and file handler. It’s simple but is astoundingly useful.
