Great news for those of us carrying a “few” extra pounds.
The latest research, according to today’s Wall Street Journal Personal Journal section, says that 10 extra pounds may be good for you.
The article by Katherine Rosman says that slightly overweight people are no more like to die from cancer or cardiovascular diseases than those with normal weight. The article will only be available for free on line for a few days.
Not only that, but there is a reduced risk of dying for those in their 70s who are slightly overweight and that a few extra pounds may help strengthen bones.
Just keep in mind, we are talking about a few extra pounds, not being obese.
And regular exercise, especially for women, is important.
