A trust fund has been set up to benefit the son of Melanie Shaffer, the Courant graphics director who died on Sept. 3 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. We urge you to contribute if you can.
Donations may be made to the Devin J. Shaffer Trust Fund, c/o the Collinsville Savings Society, P.O. 350, Canton, CT 06019-0350.
Besides Devin, Melanie left behind her husband, David, her parents, Anne and Ed Hobday, and many others, including her colleagues, past and present, at the Courant.
