Another reason to purchase an iPad or an Android tablet is that downloading free eBooks from libraries is now easier.
Thanks to OverDrive Inc., its new OverDrive Media Console free app, you can now download the eBooks easier.
Katherine Boehret, from the famed Wall Street Journal Digital Solution (All Things Digital) team, last week wrote a review of the app and gave it high marks.
Keep in mind that there may be a waiting line for popular eBooks and that you will get fined if you keep the eBook beyond the permitted time, usually 14 to 21 days.

what’s an Android tablet? Is this an Android phone or something similar to an iPad?
Any tablet run on the Android system
There are a few Android powered tablets, although they are nothing comparable to an iPad yet, at least without costing an arm and a leg.
I think they should clarify, I’m sure you can read these books on any Android device, the differentiation between tablet & phone is non-existant on Android.
Also, people can root their Barnes & Noble Nook Colors into Android tablets in about a half an hour.
The Nook is an android eBook reader, you can also get the downloads to your Android phone. The rumors that the Nook will be updated to Android 2.2 are most likely to happen, if this is so it will make it a full fledged Android Tablet with access to the market and everything else a tablet can do. Because honestly what do most people do with the over priced iPad is surf the internet and check email, maybe watch some movies from the over priced iTunes store. So if you can by a nook for a third of the price and do the same things 90% of people do with the iPad, I think that is great.
