I can’t say that I’ve gotten the true hang of Microsoft’s new Bing.com yet but it does have a lot of crisp features that are helpful. Sort of a mix between Amazon and Travelocity and the big search engines, Bing takes some exploring. Do you use it? Do you like it?
One device I like is the “Flexible Search” indicator. Start at Bing.com. Go to “Find great deals on airlines” on the bottom of the home page. Go to “When to travel” and type in your destination and departure airports. Say, you’re in Hartford and looking to go to San Franciso.
You will see that the prices vary incredibly. If you have some flexibility, you could pick a day when the price is half that of the day before or the day after.
Air prices are crazy; anything that helps make them a little easier is welcome.
