SlimFast Weight Loss Claims Are False, According To Lawsuit

SlimFast Claims Of Clinically Proven Weight Loss Is False

A federal lawsuit was filed earlier this month against SlimFast accusing the company of falsely claiming that it’s “clinically proven” that the product will help you lose weight.

False Claim Of Clinically Proven

The suit says that the clinically proven claims are “false, because it does not possess evidence to support them, such as randomized and relevant controlled studies.

“The studies relied upon to support the clinically proven claim are from products introduced many years ago, which are no longer sold.

“Defendant has not clinically tested the weight-loss efficacy of the Products.

“Defendant’s clinical trials are of discontinued SlimFast products, as part of a high carbohydrate diet with no resemblance to today’s products, which are higher in fat, protein, and contain fewer carbohydrates.”
