In the summer of 1965 I began my newspaper (other than delivering the Ames Daily Tribune and the Des Moines Register) career at the Norwalk Hour as a galley boy. My summer job was to take lead bars from the elevator and place them on hooks over the boiling lead pots in Linotype machines.
This Sunday I return to the Norwalk Hour as it become the 12th newspaper in Connecticut to publish my weekly newspaper column – which of course also appears here.
Needless to say I am thrilled to return to Fairfield County where I have made many friends over the years and I hope more consumers will join our fight here to protect each other and to advise on how to get the most out of our money and our lives.
